ECA of Kazakhstan Expands Non-Commodity Exports to China

The Export Insurance Agency of Kazakhstan (a subsidiary of Baiterek Holding) is expanding its cooperation with Chinese partners across Asia's largest international trade platforms. Zhaoqiang Liu, the Agency's Regional Director in the PRC, attended the specialized exhibitions China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE 2026) in Beijing and Transport Logistic China in Shanghai. These events brought together key players in the global market — from executives of leading industrial and logistics corporations to representatives of financial institutions and government organizations, all aimed at building sustainable cross-border corridors and developing global trade.

As part of the business program, the representative of the Export Credit Agency (ECA) held a series of B2B meetings and negotiations. The presentation of export credit insurance and trade finance tools captured specific interest from Chinese importers and logistics operators. The main focus of the negotiations was placed on real mechanisms that will allow Kazakhstani enterprises not just to supply products to the PRC, but to compete confidently within the domestic market of the Celestial Empire, thanks to reliable financial and insurance support from the state.

A significant milestone of the visit was the joint negotiations between the ECA and the national company "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" with leaders of China's transport sector. They discussed developing cooperation in international transport, providing logistical support for export deliveries, and the potential application of the Export Insurance Agency of Kazakhstan's tools to increase the accessibility of Kazakhstani exports in the PRC market.

Participation in these international industry events also allowed for the study of current trends in global production and logistics chains, the development prospects of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, and the identification of new areas of interaction with Chinese companies to support Kazakhstan's non-commodity exports.

Developing cooperation with Chinese financial institutions, importers, and logistics companies is one of the top priorities of the international activities of the Export Insurance Agency of Kazakhstan. The institutional presence of the ECA in the PRC ensures continuous interaction with market participants, promotes Kazakhstani manufacturers, and expands the use of export support tools in one of the world's largest markets.
