Cooperation with ICIEC to Expand Export Opportunities
Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan" (ECA) Allen Chaizhunusov met with the delegation of The Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC). ICIEC is an international organization headquartered in Saudi Arabia and is part of the Islamic Development Bank Group.
During the meeting, the parties discussed key areas of cooperation aimed at expanding opportunities for domestic exporters. The main item on the agenda was the conclusion of a treaty on obligatory reinsurance for the period of 2025–2026.
“The key outcome of the upcoming agreement will be a significant increase in the automatic reinsurance coverage limit, doubling its size. This will allow the Agency to offer more flexible and effective insurance instruments for Kazakhstani companies entering international markets,” noted Chairman of the Management Board A. Chaizhunusov.
In addition, the participants of the meeting paid special attention to the development of exports to countries such as Azerbaijan and Türkiye with the support of ECA. This cooperation will contribute to strengthening Kazakhstan’s trade relations with these strategically important regions.
The signing of the reinsurance agreement between ECA and ICIEC is scheduled for the autumn of this year.
