Pamir Invest 2025: Demand for Kazakhstani Goods in Tajikistan is Growing
JSC "Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan" (ECA) took part in the international investment forum "Pamir Invest 2025." The event, organized by the Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan, served as a platform for constructive dialogue between the government and the business community. The annual meeting of leading business representatives was held in Khorog, the administrative center of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region of Tajikistan.
During the forum, Ramesh Khudoiev, ECA’s Regional Director in Tajikistan, presented the Agency's financial and insurance support instruments. He focused on pre-export and trade financing, emphasizing that ECA helps importers of Kazakhstani goods obtain loans at preferential rates with the Agency’s coverage. This significantly reduces the financial burden and increases the attractiveness of trade operations.
"One of the Agency’s key priorities is to ensure access to financing for Kazakhstani exporters and to create favorable conditions for foreign investors and technology owners. Currently, we are witnessing steady growth in the volume of contracts with partners in Tajikistan, and our products offer the potential to further boost these figures," noted Mr. R. Khudoiev.
The Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan (ECA) is expanding its support for domestic exporters operating in the Tajik market. In the first half of 2025 alone, Kazakhstani exporters implementing projects in Tajikistan received support totaling 2.9 billion tenge. This marks a notable increase compared to 2024, when the total support amounted to 2.6 billion tenge. The main export categories include metallurgical, petrochemical, and food products.
It is worth noting that ECA actively cooperates in Tajikistan with Orienbank OJSC, SSB RT “Amonatbank” SE, and PEB “Sanoatsodirotbank” SE. Additionally, cooperation agreements have already been signed with several other financial institutions, which are expected to participate in future trade and investment transactions.
"Such cooperation will enable Kazakhstani producers to access new sales markets, while Tajik companies will gain access to preferential financing at low interest rates, as well as to high-quality and competitive products," stated representatives of the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan.
