Kazakhstan Exporters Forum Held in Astana
Madina Erzhanova, Deputy Chairwoman of the Management Board of the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan (ECA), spoke at the Kazakhstan Exporters Forum.
In her address, Ms. Erzhanova presented the financial and insurance support measures available for Kazakhstani non-resource sector exporters and shared examples of their effective implementation. She emphasized that the Agency continuously improves its products in response to the evolving needs of Kazakhstani businesses.
Participants highlighted that successful export cannot be achieved through a “scattershot” approach. Instead, efforts should focus on markets with predictable demand, logistical accessibility, and real purchasing power. Among the target markets identified were China, Iran, Central Asia, and the Caucasus.
The forum was held in a B2G (Business-to-Government) format, where representatives of development institutions provided tailored solutions to the most pressing challenges faced by businesses. The event also featured expert sessions on digitalization, logistics, certification, and marketing. In addition, B2B negotiations were held with global retail chains such as LULU (UAE), Alibaba, and TaoBao (China).
The forum was organized by QazTrade with the support of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It brought together more than 200 participants, including international retailers, representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, and industry experts.
The event concluded with an awards ceremony recognizing the country’s top exporters. Among the recipients of the "Exporter of the Year" award were long-time clients of the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan, including Altyn Shygys LLP, Qazaq-Astyq Group LLP, Bota-2015 LLP, and others.
