Meeting of Heads of Export Credit Agencies Held in Bishkek

Sergey Kuklin, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan", took part in the annual meeting of the heads of export credit agencies of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries held in Bishkek.
The event took place at the venue of OJSC "State Insurance Organization" of Kyrgyzstan.

The meeting was also attended by senior executives of insurance organizations, including:

  • Eldiyar Kaldarbekov, Chairman of the Management Board of OJSC "State Insurance Organization" (Kyrgyzstan),

  • Valery Ermoshko, General Director of "Beleximgarant" (Belarus),

  • Nikita Gusakov, General Director of JSC "EXIAR" (Russia),

  • Artak Mirzoyan, Executive Director of CJSC "Export Insurance Agency of Armenia".

During the meeting, participants reviewed the results of their agencies' activities over the past year and presented their strategic development plans. Particular attention was given to the implementation of digital technologies to optimize business processes, enhance operational efficiency, and improve the quality of services for exporters.

Discussions also covered cooperation in the field of reinsurance, development of trade finance instruments, and the improvement of underwriting methodologies. A separate focus was placed on the role of export credit agencies in promoting green exports and attracting investment in projects aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In his opening remarks, Sergey Kuklin emphasized the importance of the event for further strengthening cooperation, improving the system of insurance support, and fostering trade and economic relations among the EAEU countries:

"Meetings of ECA leaders traditionally allow us to clearly identify the pressing needs for further development of support mechanisms. This is especially important for us, as more than half of the contracts in the portfolio of the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan are related to exports to EAEU countries, giving our cooperation a practical and strategic dimension," noted S. Kuklin.

As a result of the meeting, a set of recommendations was adopted to enhance the efficiency of export credit agencies and expand their role in facilitating international trade.

It is worth noting that in 2024, the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan supported 96 exporters with a total amount exceeding 336 billion tenge. The total economic impact of this support amounted to 2.5 trillion tenge, covering 488 export contracts.
