Public Council of EIC KazakhExport JSC Held Its First Meeting
On August 06, 2021, Public Council of EIC KazakhExport JSC held its first meeting in Nur-Sultan.
The meeting has covered a series of outstanding issues, including election of a Chairman of the Public Council of EIC KazakhExport JSC.
Based on results of open voting, it was decided to elect Kambar Omarov as a Chairman of the Public Council of KazakhExport EIC JSC. Kambar Tatibayevich has 25 years of experience in the economic sector, he is a managing partner of consulting company TSC Global Kazakhstan, member of the Board of Directors / Independent Director of International Information Agency KAZINFORM JSC and Kazakhstan Public-Private Partnership Center JSC.
During the event, Chairman of the Management Board of EIC KazakhExport JSC Ruslan Iskakov highlighted significance to establish Public Council of EIC KazakhExport JSC as an independent and transparent body for open discussion with the public of various issues of Company's activities, development of strategic documents and legislative initiatives.
- Work on formation of the Public Council has been completed within implementation of instructions of the Head of State to establish Public Councils in the quasi-public sector. We are confident that this initiative will become an extra tool to ensure transparent decision making, meanwhile extensive experience and knowledge of our colleagues will help to increase efficiency of performance, - he specified.
As reported earlier, composition of the Public Council of EIC KazakhExport JSC was approved on June 10, 2021. It has 12 members, including nine representatives of the civil society with extensive work experience in financial, economic, legal and legislative areas.
