Kazakhstan's Agro-Industrial Complex Export Potential Presented at AGRAVIA

The industry forum "The Potential of Agriculture in Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia" was held as part of the AGRAVIA international exhibition.

Event participants reviewed investment opportunities in Kazakhstan's agro-industrial complex and mechanisms for deepening production cooperation.
Vasily Alpatov, Regional Director of "Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan" JSC (ECA) in the Russian Federation, participated in the forum.
In his speech, he emphasized that developing the export potential of the agro-industrial complex is one of the priority areas of Kazakhstan's state policy, receiving systemic support from national development institutions.
"Under the functioning of the single EAEU market, Kazakhstan acts as a stable and liquid platform for expanding business ties. By the end of 2025, Russia holds a leading position in the ECA insurance portfolio: the Russian Federation's share is approximately 40%, and the volume of accepted liabilities has reached 224 billion tenge," the speaker reported.

The audience's focus was specifically on the ECA support measures for foreign counterparties presented by Vasily Alpatov.
In particular, participants showed high interest in the export trade finance instrument.
This mechanism allows foreign companies to purchase Kazakhstani products through a system of letters of credit in Kazakhstani banks, which directly contributes to the growth of demand for domestic goods in foreign markets.
Heads of industry associations from the dairy, oil and fat, and livestock sectors of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation took part in the discussions.
During the exchange of views, specific proposals were developed for the implementation of joint investment projects and the introduction of advanced technological solutions into production.

Event participants noted that modern economic realities require the introduction of new approaches to cooperation, the application of advanced technologies, and adaptation to global trends.

Business circles of Kazakhstan and Russia confirmed their intention to consistently build up the potential for cooperation in the agro-industrial complex, demonstrating flexibility and readiness to respond promptly to emerging challenges.

Following the meeting, confidence was expressed that coordinated interaction, prompt exchange of experience, and the search for mutually acceptable solutions will contribute to bringing Kazakhstani-Russian economic relations to a new qualitative level.
