As part of the event, a specialized exhibition was organized, showcasing the practical experience of CIS countries in implementing partnership-based financing instruments.
Kazakhstan was represented by the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan (ECA). A presentation on the current state and future prospects of the sector was delivered by Renat Kaliev, Regional Director of ECA in the Republic of Tatarstan.
In his speech, he emphasized the development of the institutional ecosystem of Islamic finance in Kazakhstan, the role of the Astana International Financial Centre, and the potential for integrating international Islamic finance standards into export-oriented projects.
The business program continued with a roundtable discussion focused on the practical implementation of AAOIFI standards and the development of partnership finance. Renat Kaliev noted that the AAOIFI representative office in Kazan has strong potential to become not only an expert platform, but also a hub for competencies and applied solutions demanded by both financial institutions and the real sector of the economy.
Representatives of ECA confirmed their readiness to deepen cooperation in methodological work and the implementation of joint initiatives. The Agency’s participation in the event highlights its strategic role in building sustainable financing mechanisms and strengthening trust between the markets of Kazakhstan, Tatarstan, and the international Islamic finance community.
