Moody's Confirms Kazakhstan's Export Credit Agency Rating at Baa1

The international rating agency Moody's Investors Service has affirmed the financial strength rating of JSC "Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan" (hereinafter – the Agency) at Baa1. The rating outlook remains "stable."

The confirmation of the rating reflects the Agency’s stable operational performance and strong capitalization. In addition, Moody's highly values the support provided by its parent company – JSC "National Managing Holding Baiterek," which also holds a Baa1 rating with a "stable" outlook.

It is noteworthy that in the first half of 2025, the volume of export support in the manufacturing industry provided by the Agency reached a historical maximum, exceeding the figure for the same period last year by more than twofold. The total amount of support amounted to 333.3 billion tenge, of which 43 billion tenge were attracted through pre-export and trade financing. By the end of 2025, the scale of support is expected to reach 600 billion tenge.

The Agency will continue to implement its strategic mission to support sustainable economic growth and fulfill state programs. These programs are aimed at expanding the geography of exports and increasing the share of non-resource goods and services in global markets.
