Implementation of OECD Standards in Kazakhstan

JSC "Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan" (ECA) took part in the 166th meeting of the Working Party on Export Credits and Credit Guarantees, held in Paris, France.

The event brought together official delegations from member countries, as well as representatives from Kazakhstan, Ukraine, China, and Saudi Arabia, who participated as observers. Among the invited organizations were the Berne Union, the World Trade Organization, the World Bank, and the International Monetary Fund.

The meeting focused on issues related to export credit and sustainable financing. Particular attention was given to the World Bank’s initiatives aimed at reforming the insurance classification methodology. Participants were presented with analytical data on business trends based on the results of 2024, including key areas of development and business activity in the field of export financing. In addition, the Net Zero Export Credit Agencies Alliance (NZECA) shared its work plan and preliminary results achieved toward reaching net-zero emissions.

During the discussions on environmental and social standards, unified requirements for environmental and social responsibility in export credit activities were approved.

Participants also reviewed the implementation outcomes of recommendations on combating corruption in the financing of export projects.

It is worth noting that the next meeting of the Working Party is scheduled for autumn 2025.
