Kazakhstan and Russia deepen economic partnerships at 20th Interregional Forum

The 20th Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia took place in Ufa, focusing on enhancing trade and economic potential, strengthening regional partnerships, and exploring avenues for industrial collaboration between the two nations. The event brought together government officials, business leaders, and industry experts from both countries.

During the forum, Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan and Federal Corporation for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses of the Russian Federation signed a memorandum of cooperation. This agreement aims to promote small and medium-sized businesses, expand opportunities for exporters, and bolster partnerships between Kazakhstan and Russia.

Renat Kaliyev, Regional Director of Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan in Tatarstan, highlighted the agreement's potential to boost mutual trade turnover, pave the way for the production of high-value-added goods, and the establishment of joint ventures

"Positive outcomes are already emerging. For instance, the Bayram retail chain plans to source products from Kazakhstan’s Saule confectionery factory under our agency's insurance coverage. Additionally, we are negotiating partnerships with Yarmarka, one of the largest retail chains in Russia. The opportunities for expanding cooperation between our nations are immense," Kaliyev stated.
