Kazakhstan's export potential is represented in Shanghai

Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan JSC took part in the VII China International Import Expo (CIIE 2024). CIIE is one of the largest trade fairs in China. The fair helps countries and regions around the world to strengthen cooperation platforms, promote brands, and facilitate direct dialogue between manufacturers and Chinese buyers.

This year, the exposition occupies more than 420,000 square meters, showcasing over 400 new products, technologies, and services in advanced sectors, including high-tech equipment, modern materials, and marine engineering products.

Kazakhstan is represented at the exhibition in two pavilions: commercial and national. The national stand demonstrates achievements in digitalization and infrastructure aimed at developing cross-border trade, attracting investment, and cooperating within the framework of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative.

The commercial stand features 50 domestic manufacturers, including companies supported by the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan. Manufacturers of fats, oils, flour milling products, confectionery, flour, beverages, and honey – many of which are already familiar and in demand by Chinese consumers – have the opportunity to increase their brand awareness and attract new partners.

According to Armana Bekbasova, Director of International Cooperation at the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan JSC, the Chinese market is becoming increasingly attractive for Kazakhstani exporters.

The Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan is ready to support exporters by offering various solutions: from optimizing payment terms and verifying the reliability of partners to insuring export risks and financing joint ventures with Chinese companies. It is important to ‘package’ these solutions into competitive advantages in the Chinese market and other key export areas, she concluded.

It should be noted that the volume of support for Kazakhstani exporters by the Agency reached 188.2 billion tenge in the first 9 months of 2024. Compared to the same period in 2023, the volume of aid increased by more than 3.5 times. The volume of pre-export and export-trade financing provided for the first half of the year amounted to 22.3 billion tenge.
